Dr Duong was fine once I got to see him. Appointment was delayed 75 mins with “oh, he’s running 20 mins late” responses from front desk when asked for updates. One person left with her kid as they were just tired of waiting, another arrived early and was quickly dispatched to do other things they had planned for the day with the promise of a call/text for when they should come back. I asked Dr Duong why patients were being delayed. His response was along the lines of his diligence in finding out what is wrong with a patient before dispatching and calling in the next. Nice, but illogical if a patient slot is 15 mins and one has to wait five times that long to get seen. Compounded effect of that is that early patients get his time, and later ones will of they stick around for much longer. Easier on everyone to get the overrunning patient to come back in for another appointment rather than pend/queue later patients way beyond their booked appointment slot. A lesson in ineffective and inefficient use of patient time. Great if you are early in the queue at the start of the day, absolutely disgraceful of you have a 9:15 slot and have to wait until 10:30. Dr Duong is OK, but scheduling and timekeeping is suboptimal. Book an appointment for start of business would be my recommendation.
