Safety Risks, Unauthorized Repairs, and a Nightmare Experience
I am writing this to warn others about Fix Auto Bellevue. I brought in my 2021 Honda Civic (previously in great condition) and the experience has been the single worst consumer experience of my life.
Communication Breakdown: The shop held my car for over a month past the promised date. Despite my constant calls and emails, I received no updates. I finally had to physically walk into the shop to get any information. Even now, while they occasionally reply to emails, they provide no actual resolutions for the damage they’ve caused.
Unauthorized Repairs: Initially, I was told the car would likely be a total loss. However, Fix Auto proceeded with repairs without my consent or a finalized agreement from my insurance. This stripped me of my right to choose a total-loss payout and forced me to put a $1,000 deductible into a car that was clearly over the repair limit.
Terrible Workmanship & Safety Hazards: They partnered with Ali’s for mechanical work, and the car I received back is a safety hazard:
Mechanical: The transmission is shifting roughly, brakes are shuddering, and the engine makes new rattling and whining noises.
Electrical: Every engine warning light is on and the remote start is broken.
Body/Paint: The front-end paint is a different color than the rest of the car, and there is a massive gap in the hood from poor alignment. They even returned it missing bolts, screws, and the engine cover.
Lack of Professionalism: When I raised these concerns, an employee named Kaylee made a joke about being a “YouTube mechanic.” While it may have been a joke, it was completely inappropriate given that I was standing there with a broken, $25,000+ asset that they were responsible for.
I’ve paid my $1,000, and I’m left with a car that is in worse condition than it was after the accident. Do not trust this shop.
